I disliked puppy pose for years because I was hyper-focused on melting my heart down, and this never felt great it my shoulders. Lately I've begun "pulling back" instead, which gives me a broad fascia stretch throughout my upper body. Loving the subtle but meaningful shift!

Hi Blanca, lovely to hear from you 💛
What a beautiful thing to be noticing in yourself. This is a topic that touches on Taoist philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda.
A few resources if you want to explore some reading:
• The Tao Te Ching (Lao Tzu) — the original source for yin/yang philosophy
• Books by Sarah Powers and Bernie Clark. They both teach Yin yoga and weave in the energetic side beautifully
• Anything on Taoist philosophy
Trust the natural cycles of action and rest that you’re already noticing in your own body and energy.
Best to you in Belgium 🌿
