Thank you for your feedback, Magnus. This video is more of an exploration of variations and modifications rather than a deep yin practice with long holds. The idea was to show beginner and advanced options so that, in the future, you can choose variations for yourself. If this wasn't clear enough, it's probably because I was still learning how to make good videos! This was one of the first classes I ever posted on this site.

It could be a tighter hip on one side, or it could be an asymmetry in your bone. We all have some degree of asymmetry, which is natural and normal. In either case, it’s best practice to let the less flexible side stay within its comfortable range of motion rather than forcing it to be like the other side.

That makes sense, as if the energy were a feeling of density or tightness, and the pose unravels it. This is not the common way that “energy” is used in yin, but what you’re saying makes sense.
