That's great you're enjoying Baby Wild Thing and the Radiance Sutras, La'Tonya! The Sutras are such a great complement to these practices.

Sorry you're dealing with that, Annie. Vertigo is something to run past your doctor first, since there may be a fix that your doctor or physio can do that yoga can't. Until then: skip anything with the head below the heart, move the head slowly, and practice from a chair or near a wall. Slow breathing, nothing forceful. The Vestibular Disorders Association has a good page on adapting yoga for dizziness: https://vestibular.org/article/diagnosis-treatment/treatments/complementary-alternative-medicine/yoga-for-balance/

Lynette M. I'm so glad the practice helps you settle at night. Regarding osteoporosis: I'm a yoga teacher, not a yoga therapist, so with osteoporosis in the neck please get your do's and don'ts from your GP or a physio. The Royal Osteoporosis Society has good exercise guidance too. What I can say: osteoporosis is about bone. Since you're a flexible person, stop at about 50% of your full stretch. The best way to do this is to prop everything so gravity isn't pulling you deeper. Limit your holds to one to two minutes. Skip the neck stretches for now, and don't push through the crunching. Keep your back long in forward bends instead of rounding. If anything sends pain down the leg, come out. You don't have to give up stretching, just do it gently.

Melanie This is indeed one of the ways to do half saddle. Sometimes, when the legs are like this, it's called reclined deer - but they are the same with the same target area for the stretch (hip flexors and quads).

Appreciate your truthful feedback! Hope the next one is more satisfying!

Hi Ritva! Face and jaw tension is often rooted in neck and shoulder tension. Try focusing on upper body practices.

Gaby N. Gotcha! Here's a good one to start with. For more, use the search box on the Videos page to find practices that suit you - for instance "hips" will bring up practices that include glute stretches and "twist" will bring up practices that include side-body stretches. From there you can narrow your search by class length and level (beginner, etc).
