Today's 10-min fascia stretch came from all your feedback on last week's no-cues fascia stretch. Your input has taught me a lot! And it was the inspiration for today's new version of the same practice with cues.

In the first video, I used a timer beep in place of spoken guidance. This was different from our usual format, and the reviews were... mixed. While some of you loved it, many kindly shared that you did not love the beeps, expressing a clear preference for verbal cues.

I'd never quite realized how essential the spoken guidance is—especially for regular followers who know the poses well enough to be able to practice without watching the screen. It's been a useful community conversation that has helped shaped today's new version—the same exact practice with verbal cues added (and no beeps).

Regardless of your preference, both versions are now available to suit everyone's needs. I designed this practice to stretch the whole body in 10 minutes, with seamless transitions for time efficiency. Once you learn the verbally-guided video, you may choose to "graduate" to the no-cues version after learning the transitions.

In either case, I'm grateful to have more insight about the ways you all practice, and I hope you enjoy your daily fascia stretch!

Hi Devi!

I am 68 and it is about time I did some strength training. Did you mention some time ago that you considered sharing your strength training routine? It would be awesome if you would. Just a thought that came to me this morning. 💕

This is a real photo of my cat tonight at the end of a 20 minutes DD yoga practice! He is soundly asleep- something that usually happens to me at the end of most sessions!

At 53, my main health priority is managing stress, which is why my daily practices emphasize stretching and relaxation.

But a lot of you have been asking what I actually do for exercise! So I've shared two new standing flows over the past two Sundays. These are low-impact routines that include traditional movements from yoga and qigong, as well as research-backed exercises for lymphatic drainage and vagal tone.

These new videos are a great way to reset energy and move stiffness out of the body. No equipment needed, just stand up and flow!

The practice of Yin became a quiet harbor for me, mind and body settling into the long patience that healing asked after my fall. Breath played its keen role, a slow tide moving through tender places, teaching me how to listen to its guidance and soften without collapsing.

Each inhale lifted me; each exhale loosened the strain. Staying tuned to every small signal let me tend the hurt while letting the rest of me drift in gentle motion, a kind of moving stillness. Protecting one tender place made the whole body brighter to me, each part speaking to the others, each movement revealing how we are one woven thing.

🙏 You are appreciated, Devi as guide, teacher, and friend in the soft, luminous way friendship appears on the mat.

Hi Devi,

My question is about Saddle. It really hurts my foot and I end up focusing on that vs the stretch. Can you give me some pointers? Thanks in advance ❤️

August Member Update 💜🙏

This month's theme is Gratitude. Last weekend I celebrated my 53rd turn around the sun with loved ones — frolicking at the beach, singing together, stretching in the park, and eating amazing vegan food. I'm grateful for my friends, my family, and my community.

The August Yoga Calendar has commenced! It includes today's new 15-min Morning Fascia Flow and details for Tuesday's live Yin Hour on Zoom.
