It's a wrap! The complete Yin Yoga Foundations program is now available in the membership.

I know some of you are still making your way through it, which is totally fine since it's a self-paced program. Wherever you are in the journey, I appreciate your participation in this member-exclusive launch. It's been really exciting for me to present this system of archetypes to you, since it reallyĀ  dives into the core philosophy behind the magic of Yin.

I'm especially pleased about the final Day 9 video: Yin Extravaganza.Ā The videos for days 1-8 involved much more talking than we normally expect in a Yinin class—but Day 9 makes up for it. It's a 40-minute video that brings it all together. This is a video you can return to anytime you want a purely functional Yin practice with minimal cues. It's a full body session where every pose is yogi's choice, incorporating what you learn in days 1-8.

There's so much more to Yin than being able to achieve specific poses, and this program is essential for anyone who wants to truly learn. It's now an evergreen program in the membership for those who are ready to practice with more intelligence, intuition, and creativity.

I've received a number of questions over these nine days, and I'm beginning to round them up to make a supplemental Q&A video. Feel free to share any additional thoughts, suggestions or questions below. ✨

Cat's tail is more advanced, but it definitely fits in this archetype. It's great you're weaving your favorites into this format. That's exactly how it's supposed to work!

Thanks for this question, Agota. The PDF is a simplified version of the system being presented here. There are seven archetypes in total: five of them are the "yin" archetypes, and two are the "yang" archetypes. The PDF covers only the 5 yin archetypes. It's explained on days 3 and 8 of this series, which explore the two yang archetypes in detail.

Egad thanks for catching that, Bob!

This is a great photo, Chelsea — and I’m so very sorry for the loss of your sweet golden. May your practice continue to support you through the waves of grief and renewal. ā¤ļøā¤ļø

If your hips come up, it turns it into a deeper backbend. If it feels good, this is fine. But if it doesn’t feel good, it may be a sign more prop support is needed.
