Hi Deb, The first thing to try if the pressure on your pubic bone is uncomfortable, is to place something soft between your pelvis and the floor - either a pillow that's on the thin side, or a folded blanket or towel. If there's still discomfort, try moving that soft support farther down to support the tops of your thighs, so that the pubic bone makes no contact at all. Propping may create a slight increase in the load on the arms and/or a slight decrease in the backbending sensation, so to compensate you may wish to experiment with a bolster/pillow under the elbows when in sphinx, or placing the hands closer to you in seal.
