Happy holidays from Tucson, Arizona, where I’m spending time with family. My 82-yo mothers wish was to have my sister Diana and I sing her a song. We chose a beautiful solstice song called “Evening Rise, Spirit Come.” Here’s the video. Blessings to you all for a peaceful and joyful season. ✨💛

Hola members ✈️🌼💀 I'm back from Mexico where we had an incredible time adventuring around the country and celebrating Día de los Muertos in the heart of Mexico City.

Tomorrow, join me for a live yin class on Zoom, which is on the second Tuesday of the month since I was away last week. It'll be a 40m yin practice followed by a 10m meditation and member check-in.

View the live class details in your time zone on the Catalog/Browse tab. The recording will be available there after the class ends, so you can watch whenever it's convenient for you.

Members: What are your favorite yoga tweaks?

One of the best things about practicing yoga at home is that we can adjust poses to suit our own bodies. At in-person classes, sometimes we feel pressure to conform – even if things don't feel quite right.

Is there a particular pose you tend to modify every time it comes up?

Here's an example from my own practice: While I enjoy downward dog, it's not a restful position for me. This is likely due to the way my upper body is built. When teachers say to "rest" in dog for more than a few breaths, I typically shorten it and drop into plank pose or child's.

I'd love to hear about the modifications you regularly do in your practice – share in a comment below! 🌿👇🏽

Members, I’d love to hear more about your self-care routine. ☯️💪🧘🏽

By definition, yin yoga is an incomplete practice. It should ideally be balanced by active exercise — or yang activity. While this app offers some dynamic practices, it’s primarily designed to focus on the yin side of things — slowing down and tuning in.

Many members do stronger exercise at home, at the gym, or outdoors. What does this look like for you? Do you include strength training or cardio? Do you walk, run or swim?

Overall, how does this app and membership fit into your daily life? As I learn about your routine, it helps me curate the app to best serve this wonderful yoga community. 🌿
