Devi Daly ...and looking west...

I picked this one for its title, after pondering yesterday what I would do the next morning.  Lots of variety and variations in the poses, with a gentle melody that I tapped out on my dulcimer after practice.  I'm finding myself in a spiritual blend with Yin, Devi, and the sutras.  Sutra 78, so true "Desires flow, like an electric current; let that flow of juice nurture and energize you. Imbibe the sparkle, dissolve, transcend with that desire, and be fulfilled."  This a teaching I need each day.

Yes the sun was setting as it rained and this was in the east over my driveway.

Really energized my spine by practice end.  I found gradual ways to work with my shoulders as they hold a lot of tightness.  Lots of yard work today so this was a great preamble to the day's event.  Even now the benefits are moving up and down my back.

Spent my time going deeper into the poses and finding the surprising places of tension I could relax, then go deeper still.  The music was a perfect compliment and I couldn't resist peeking at the beautiful scenery from time to time. The deep breathes to start and end...Life...

I woke and decided to experiment with this bedtime treat.  I wasn't disappointed.  I had had a stressful day and a restless night.  This was like meditation.  The thoughts that floated by through the stillness gave me time to examine them, give them attention and perspective (from the outside so to speak.). So this was a mellow morning routine for me, and is so often, right for this day.  Voltaire said "Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good."  By the constant direction and encouragement to find my own "best way" I am opening up restorative actions that are really helping me feel better.

Today sutra #72 was a favorite.  Just as practices here and rock and roll bands, I allow myself many, many favorites.

Intimate, sensual, spiritual.... "There is no mind.  There is no intellect.  There is no ego.  I am pure consciousness.  I am pure Being.   How the sutras blend practice into the moment.  Ecstasy...

"Enjoyment" is the word that resounded through this practice.  Love the detailed focus of your words as they take me more keenly to the target areas.  Bending my legs in new ways and gradually finding progress.  Love the little rewards along the way.  Your voice make me feel these actions.

I just checked and it’s fee to me on audible!  Sweet   I can tell I will cherish it in hard copy as well. I’ve already felt I’ve met an old friend.
