Carly, aka Peanut, took the long trail today. She was my trailblazer, the one who always walked a few steps ahead, showing me the way. We spoke in a language only the two of us understood, a quiet conversation woven from years of companionship and trust. She would spin in circles until her bowl was set before her, a small ritual that never failed to make me smile. She always told me when it was time for bed. She followed me everywhere with pure joy, and she always had to ride shotgun.

Last summer, we explored new trails together. She loved to forage through the forest, nose to the ground, tail lifted with purpose, as if she were reading the world’s hidden script. Whenever we reached a fork, I’d ask her, ā€œWhich way should we go?ā€ And she always chose the long way.

That was her gift, choosing the long way, the way with more scent, more wonder, more life. She taught me to slow down, to look closely, to take the path that offers more time together.

Today, she took the longest trail of all. And though I cannot follow her yet, I carry every step we shared. Her joy, her devotion, her quiet wisdom, they remain the compass in my chest.

May her trail be soft beneath her paws. May the forest open wide for her. And may I honor her by choosing the long way, just as she always did.

Loved it, favorited it! Ā After a difficult night with one of my pups this really helped loosen the tension and ease my mind.

Great day of slow recovery. Ā Love how going through the motions settles me, helps me refocus, address the stiffness that idle time with an illness brings. Ā I found a real softness, settling in to each pose. Ā My troublesome knees felt oddly "padded" today so I enjoyed panda even more.

Rather hard to get it all in one shot, but I have area, windows provide a different view of each day. There's a sofa out of view where my pups take positions at opposite ends to monitor my progress.

Well two years of Yin and I finally missed not one but two days, down with the flu. But this morning I felt good enough and the practice was perfect for gradually moving me back in to activity. Ā The breathing throughout really helped and even though my body felt weak it lended itself for appreciating deeper poses. I felt really good and alive afterwards, but the recovery is still on.

I have the flu. This was a good one to help as I needed something lighter. Did about 20 minutes.

Great practice, on which time seems to fly by.  This one had a real mellow feel to it.  I noticed a deeper relaxation in my shoulders today.  Also my half saddles weren't half bad, so I pleased the half good parts. 😁.
