A naturalist living in the PNW. Loving life, whatever it brings next...

I intertwine my Yin practice with the threads of my spiritual journey, each enhancing the other in a seamless dance. The energetic flow that carried me from the depths of night into the soft light of morning was nothing short of exquisite. Both experiences opened me entirely, body, mind, and soul. I was seeking a teacher, I found a messenger.

Extend Your Awareness

Reach beyond the confines of your own form,

Merging into the essence of other beings.

Feel their sensations as your own,

Releasing attachment to the self.

Transcend the limits of locality,

Allowing your awareness to flow freely.

With each passing day,

Tensions dissolve,

And you align more deeply

With the unified current of life

That pulses through us all.

I really found myself embracing the "It's not how you look" aspect of practice, with amazing results.  By really focusing on the target areas, I was creating poses that were definitely my own.  I have to admit I had just a tad of jealousy with I in my basement, on a cold, drizzly day, with you on the shore.

This Yin balanced well with my Yang tree planting of yesterday, although I wish now I would have done it last night so I would have slept better.  Gently way of targeting those places needed.

I loved working with the blocks through this serene practice.  Taking it slowly is allow me to discover new, best poses and adjustments for myself.  Blending body and mind with the scenery, with the calm of Devi's voice is pure bliss.  These practices are drawing me inward, with a little relaxation for the soul as well.

Nothing is better for me than thee.  I loved this basic, beneficial practice.  To practice with a beginner's mind takes me back, deep into the pose, exploring my growth from the past, showing me my progress.  Devi brings me into such a meditative state, her voice now instantly soothes me, and that smile at the end, it within itself a sincere sendoff of joy into my day.  I turned to the bookmark and it was sutra #75...which ends with:

Desiring and knowing,

Knowing and desiring.

Just for a breath,

Forget what you want.

Forget what you know.

Receive the real teaching,

The essence of Earth, Air,

Fire, Water, and Space.

I like butterfly as I am able to work so much within it.  Back, side stretches and groin of course.

Lovely way to start the day!

Relaxing, low-to-the-mat moments. My shoulders seem to have reached a milestone, now resting easily on the ground in my twists. What once felt almost unattainable, uncomfortable even, has transformed into a comfortable achievement through time and persistence. A lesson to remember. But, as those late-night commercials remind me, "Wait! There's more!"

Enjoyed the practice but there was some odd distortion at times. I needed an easy morning. Thank you
