Commented on Morning Stretch

16 Mar 08:39

Perfect timing as an untraditional sleep in left me with the need for something quick.  This did the trick.  I reminded myself to tell you I found the little instruction of lifting the chest before a move to the right, then left for the side stretches in child pose helped.  It always felt an awkward to start when I did these, yet I do love the stretch.  So this made the move a more mindful one.

Yes I love the new logo.  This practice was great.  Just enough doses of yin and yang to stretch me out and energize me for the day.  Helpful exploring in the poses and working on old wounds and new strains.  Loved this woven workout.

I love learning and knowing I can adjust a pose for its benefit for the day.

Devi you trickster!  Leaving us in savasana at the end.  I might have spent the whole morning there.🤣. Enjoyed this flow and the faster than expected pace.  I read a sutra at the end of each practice and was going to skip it yesterday, but then thought "No you're not".  Such a part of my morning now.

Today's 61

Adorable One,

Sit or lie down, completely immobile,

Beholding the cloudless sky

Or if there are clouds, the sky beyond.

As vastness envelops you,

The body vanishes,

Thoughts forget to come.

In this moment,

You are the nature of the great sky.

After seeing your post and reading the description I decided to add this as tomorrow's practice. I don't usually stray for the calendar, but what the heck, I'm going wild!

I need a shorter one due to a busy morning so moved ahead a day.  This was just want I needed.  Basic positions, yet ones which let my mind let go of annoyance which followed me to the mat.  Perfect satisfaction distraction....

This is the one where there is a signal at the end of each pose.  It had me checking my phone until I figured out what was going on. 🤣. I had good half saddles but couldn't get saddle so I settled for butterfly. Finding (after all this time) that I am much more comfortable in extended poses of puppy and downward dog, if I keep my hands about shoulder length apart in front to me.  Widening my hands puts a strain on my elbows.  Love that I can explore in these poses now and enjoy longevity in them.

Commented on Classic Yin Yoga

The word "Classic" got me reflecting on how, even though each class follows a familiar structure, targeting the same areas with different techniques, sure there are areas of focus that might be highlighted, but what truly makes every session feel fresh is our presence in the moment. It’s the act of fully immersing ourselves in now that makes each practice unique. As I move, stretch and breathe, my mind weaves through the subtleties of my body, my thoughts, and the essence of the day, blending them into something entirely its own, something special.  It seems for me the day is what gets added to my Favorites...this day another.❤️
