Very in the moment spent with these long poses.  I've found my place of peace....

I enjoyed (and benefited) from the extra, balanced, depth I found in the wall poses.  I noticed how tight I can get myself during my day to day activities (physical and mental). Another Favorite I wasn't expecting and one I needed.  As I often say, the best part of the day...

There is an effortless awareness that greeted me during this practice.  My body found tender spots from tree planted yesterday.  The soreness near instantly faded away to the now familiar tingle of healing.  Each pose could easily lasted longer.  The "simple pose" of sitting with legs crossed was notably more stable and my back felt strengthened, my tailbone fitting well upon the mat.  25 minutes of peace....

Mellow movement just right for this day.  Learning better all the time to relax into the poses and examine the goodness there.

Great way to pull it all together. Loved the multi screen variation shots. The quiet space was unique too. Loved the whole series.

This was Down Dog archetype, just mislabeled.  I really like working my  neck, upper back and shoulders.  A perfect response to the two holes I spent time digging yesterday, preparing for some trees.

Two years ago, I never imagined I’d mark Saddle as a favorite. My very first question to Devi was actually, “What if I can’t do Saddle?” Even now, my version is still supported with plenty of props, but I can mindfully settle into both half and full variations.

There were long stretches when I chose other shapes instead, yet over time my body shifted. Each time I revisited Saddle, there was just a little more ease, a little more space.

It turns out Saddle wasn’t impossible after all, it just asked me to practice patience as much as the pose itself.

I try not to go on and on about an old injury (broken clavicle and scapula), but my oh my, this practice made me realize how much healing had taken over the past two years due to the Yin/Devi combo.  These twists archetypes and adjustment directions were perfect.  Might be time to gather some crystals for an altar.

I haven't written a poem in some time, but one came last night.  called How to Catch a Butterfly.

Be still

There’s a moment when curiosity meets

Fragile on a fingertip

Design and beauty unfolds

Cherish it

Then watch as it moves on

The memory left, the gift

Not meant to be captured

Rather captivated within the heart

So nice for my neck and shoulders.  Least I forget the lower back.  After which, The Radiance Sutras:

Yukti Verse 4

At the end of the exhale,

Breath surrenders to quietude.

For a moment you hang in the balance

Suspended

In the fertile spaciousness

That is the source of breath.

At the end of the inhale,

Filled with the song of the breath,

There is a moment when you are simply

Holding the tender mystery.

In these interludes,

Experience opens into exquisite vastness

With no beginning and no end.

Embrace this infinity without reservation.

You are its vessel.
