Happy Baby is meant to be a relaxing pose, so if that's not your experience, a swap is definitely in order! It sounds like your frustration may also be trigger old wounds â which must be difficult since our yoga practice is supposed to be a safe place.Sounds like a great reason to remove happy pose from your repertoire and replace it with something that feels GOOD to your body â while still giving you a stretch in the same target area (low back).Upside-down child's pose (aka hugging your knees while on your back) makes a good alternative. Frog-on-the-wall is also a lovely one. Another idea is to place a cushion under your seat in happy baby â elevating your hips is a game changer for some people. It's possible you just didn't hit the body-proportion lottery for this particular pose â but keep in mind â proportions that hinder one pose can often be helpful in other poses.Wishing you the best as you explore alternatives that make your body feel whole and happy. đâ¤ď¸Â
