Hi Anita, I’m so sorry you experienced an injury. If seated poses are painful due to your injury, you can avoid them with a routine of non-seated poses, or just swap these into their respective archetype in any routine: child’s pose, shoelace on the wall, dragonfly on the wall, dragon with blocks under your hands, runner’s stretch, and lying twist. I can’t truly customize a practice for you without being able to meet with you. However, your question is a good one to illustrate how to apply the functional approach to yin! In each of the 7 archetypes, you can usually find a variation that works.

So glad you’re here, Toni, and looking forward to our YYTT journey 🤓

Great to meet you, Susie!

Thank you for your feedback, Magnus. This video is more of an exploration of variations and modifications rather than a deep yin practice with long holds. The idea was to show beginner and advanced options so that, in the future, you can choose variations for yourself. If this wasn't clear enough, it's probably because I was still learning how to make good videos! This was one of the first classes I ever posted on this site.

Great to meet you, Suzy!

It could be a tighter hip on one side, or it could be an asymmetry in your bone. We all have some degree of asymmetry, which is natural and normal. In either case, it’s best practice to let the less flexible side stay within its comfortable range of motion rather than forcing it to be like the other side.
