There’s absolutely no pressure to do snail pose unless it calls to you. You can substitute with caterpillar or legs up the wall for the rest of your life! That said, an alternative is to invert gently at the wall: start with your legs up the wall, place your feet on the wall with bent knees, then lift your pelvis just a few inches… it’s so nice on the upper spine, and doesn’t place nearly as much pressure as full snail.
