🌿 Join me Tuesdays in September for a new exclusive series for members: Somatic Yoga Foundations. This series of 30-min practices streams live on Sept 9, 16, 23 and 30.

You’ll learn the foundations of the Somatic Yoga Method™ – a gentle, integrative approach designed to release tension, calm the nervous system, and promote natural healing.

👉 View the full series and recordings here

Sessions include slow stretches, breathwork, yin and restorative poses to relax the deep tissues of your muscles, joints and spine. Rather than aiming for perfect poses, Somatic Yoga aims to create a natural energetic flow that awakens the body’s own capacity for healing.

Classes recordings are available for members to view anytime. 💛

Hi members! This video is the pilot for an upcoming chair yoga series 🪑 for which I’d love your feedback. It's a feel-good sequence that I plan to re-film once I iron out the wrinkles.

Watch it here

As you know, I usually film sequences in various sloth-like positions on the floor – which is why it feels like a new logistical feat to make an upright video like this!

Specifically I’d love you to share on these questions:

– How does this sequence feel in your body?
– Is the sequence easy to follow?  Did you have any challenges following along?
– How is the overall look and feel of this video - what did you like, and what could be better aesthetically next time?

Thanks for helping me out - it’s a work in progress, and your input will help me make a better final video. 🧡🧡

I was listening to an overview of the history, theory and practice of Tantra.  I was sitting cross legged and was performing various Yin moves for neck, shoulders and breath.  When the chapter ended a total body energetic rush moved up my torso.  That is when the warmth surrounded my spine.  It then encompassed my shoulder, neck and upper back.  There was an ease in my scapula.  It was as thought it was targeting my old injury for healing.

September renewal: daily yoga, live classes, and new goodies in the membership ✨

Happy September! This month's yoga calendar offers a chance to recharge and start as the season turns.

It's a special month for me because I’m celebrating five years teaching online after a wonderful 20 years running my in-person community yoga studio that focused on yin and restorative yoga.

Since then this heart-full online community has grown to 450 at-home practitioners, and I’ve designed over 250 video practices – all focused on relaxation, flexibility and self care.

Before now, the members' yoga calendar offered just three classes each week – but after five years, the class catalog can finally support a calendar with yoga classes every day of the week (without too many re-runs). This is something I've been dreaming of doing since the beginning, and it's finally happening – a beautiful schedule of daily classes on the September 2025 yoga calendar, starting Monday 9/1.

The daily calendar is a curated collection of member favorites, upcoming new videos, and livestream classes.

And I get it – you’re busy and may not practice that often. This daily calendar doesn’t mean you’re expected to practice every day – instead, it's a guide to help take the guesswork out of your practice whenever you log on.

Part of this Autumn expansion is a new Somatic Yoga Foundations series where you'll learn the gentle, integrative approach of somatic yoga. Join me live on Tuesdays starting September 9th for 30 minutes of slow stretches, breathwork, yin and restorative poses – all designed to release tension and calm the nervous system. Classes will be recorded to view anytime later.

Last but not least, you're invited to join our community practice at this Tuesday's Yin Hour on Zoom. I'm really excited about the new Zoom integration with our member platform, because we'll get to practice together and connect with each other. This time, we'll do a 40-min guided yin practice followed by 20 minutes for Yin Yogi Q&A and Discussion.

What are your practice goals this fall? This friendly and growing yoga community is here to support you.

Hi All,

I’ve just subscribed after two years following on utube - why I didn’t subscribe sooner I don’t know! I guess now is the right time 🫶

Quick question - I really really struggle with the saddle/half saddle pose. The tops of my thighs burn like billy-o and feel like something is going to tear!

Can anyone advise how I go about building up to doing this pose fully? Or is it something I will just never be able to do?

Thanks in advance ❤️❤️

Join me at 7,500 feet elevation for today’s 25 minute Yin Fascia Release video, which was filmed in the Sierra Nevada high country - next to these alpine hot springs!

This practice will melt tension from the connective tissues throughout your whole body - from shoulders and spine down to hips and legs.

I'm wondering if you'd ever do a short class/course on basic yin yoga. Though I practice it now and have in the past (mostly called restorative yoga - is it the same?), what are the basic tenets behind it? What exactly is "facia" (without me Googling it!) and why is it important to stretch. Where exactly is my sacrum? Maybe you can recommend a resource too. I am probably not the only one wanting to dig deeper into this wonderful practice!
