First I really enjoyed the music during this practice.  Soft and calming it attempted to counter what I found was anger this morning.  Yoga helps my morning as a buffer against contemptible hatred we live with daily.  I did better in many poses, and I noticed.  The extended times helped me settle in deeper.  I opened the sutra at practice end and as they often do, provided a message:  #70

Sting of a wasp.

Rip of a nail.

A razor’s slice.

The needle’s plunge.

A piercing word.

A stab of betrayal.

The boundary crossed.

A trust broken.

In this lacerating moment,

Pain is all you know.

Life is tattooing scripture into your flesh,

Scribing incandescence in your nerves.

Right here,

In this single searing point

Of intolerable concentration,

Wound becomes portal.

Brokenness surrenders to

Crystalline brilliance of Being.

Later that same day: My quadriceps have been feeling it all day. 😉

I had a bit of a busy mind when I met the mat and although it lingered, I slowly worked the edges off and enjoyed these deepened stretches.  And so it is Spring!  A couple of great things to take into my day....

Perfect timing as an untraditional sleep in left me with the need for something quick.  This did the trick.  I reminded myself to tell you I found the little instruction of lifting the chest before a move to the right, then left for the side stretches in child pose helped.  It always felt an awkward to start when I did these, yet I do love the stretch.  So this made the move a more mindful one.

Yes I love the new logo.  This practice was great.  Just enough doses of yin and yang to stretch me out and energize me for the day.  Helpful exploring in the poses and working on old wounds and new strains.  Loved this woven workout.

I love learning and knowing I can adjust a pose for its benefit for the day.

Devi you trickster!  Leaving us in savasana at the end.  I might have spent the whole morning there.🤣. Enjoyed this flow and the faster than expected pace.  I read a sutra at the end of each practice and was going to skip it yesterday, but then thought "No you're not".  Such a part of my morning now.

Today's 61

Adorable One,

Sit or lie down, completely immobile,

Beholding the cloudless sky

Or if there are clouds, the sky beyond.

As vastness envelops you,

The body vanishes,

Thoughts forget to come.

In this moment,

You are the nature of the great sky.

After seeing your post and reading the description I decided to add this as tomorrow's practice. I don't usually stray for the calendar, but what the heck, I'm going wild!

I need a shorter one due to a busy morning so moved ahead a day.  This was just want I needed.  Basic positions, yet ones which let my mind let go of annoyance which followed me to the mat.  Perfect satisfaction distraction....
