Gwen Heistand I never hesitate to reposition myself when my knees are not comfortable.  I search for an adjustment that works for me, that day.

Let's say we blend our souls and bodies with this one.  There was a consistent flow of energy in these extended postures, one in particular, the side stretch, where I found a ball of tension on my left side, which I need to address in future practice.  The music was perfect to the gentle rest I found.

In practices like these, I can sense how my body and mind meet stress. I find calm, but also the place it comes from. Gentle breathwork and small shifts in posture open a pocket of stillness where awareness grows. It’s become a deeply nourishing part of my wellbeing.

Really enjoyed and benefited from the guidance of the breath throughout.  This as perfect for my morning.

Commented on Peaceful Morning Yin

I needed a peaceful morning and glad I had one as things got chaotic thereafter.  Great sequence for both peace and finding the stretches I needed to start my day.  I took my cue from @Miriam Gabriela

Needed a quickie this morning so choose this favorite.  Treated myself to a "The Radiance Sutras" afterwards, a habit that had somehow drifted away.  They often compliment the practice so well.

Drop the thought,

“I am this body,”

Abandon the limitation,

“I am only here in this specific place and time.”

Embrace instead,

I am not my body.

I am not this place.

I am not this time.

There is no place.

There is no time.

Realize,

“I am everywhere,”

Sustained by infinite bliss.

Floor with legs crossed for a more structured meditation, but I often do it lying down too.  That will tend to make me fall asleep, but that is my goal at times.  I practice mindful meditation through the day as part of my awareness.

Finally made it to the live Yin Hour practice, and I absolutely loved it. The props you suggested for easing into saddle were perfect — it felt like the first time I truly entered the shape with confidence and ease.

I remembered our very first conversation, when you reassured me that saddle wasn’t a requirement and that time would open it naturally. You were right.

The long holds, the quiet, and the sense of actually being there with you meant a great deal.

And for the record: Bob 72 – Devi 52 = 20 years. I appreciate a youngster teaching me new tricks… 😉

Always love the long poses and this one did calm this yogi's mind.  Vacation on a train then a small apartment had my routine challenged, but I'm backing the groove, love'n my Devi Daly Yoga...
